James B. Peterson, JR.
As a principal of Pioneer, James Peterson has overseen the acquisition, repositioning and operations of dozens of commercial properties and thousands of multi-family units valued at over $500 million.
Prior to Pioneer, James was responsible for deal origination, transactions, and asset management at Thor Equities, a real estate investment firm focusing on retail and office properties.
In addition to his two decades of experience with real estate finance and management, James spent his early career as a project manager with an international engineering firm focusing on industrial construction and infrastructure projects.
James earned a Master of Business Administration from the New York University Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Science, Engineering from the University of Michigan. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at the New York City Mission Society, a non-profit organization supporting children and adolescents in underserved communities of New York City.
